Monday Mumbles
I don’t really have a good story for today. I just have some random notes and mumblings.
- The weather here in Orlando the past few days and upcoming week have been nothing short of perfection. Mid to high 70′s and low 80′s(25 – 30 for metric folks) with cotton ball clouds. Just look at this pic snapped yesterday in shorts and flip-flops!

- Something happened today that made me feel honored, proud, happy, and yet sad all at the same time. I cannot give details yet of what that is, but I will when the time is right.
- I did get a response back from Toys R Us regarding the plush penguin incident. They apologized and gave me a name and address at the corporate headquarters to which I will send the letter I just printed out.
- Saturday I am going to a Halloween party with the wife. She wants us to match in some way(a ketchup and mustard way). Costume ideas? I’m thinking dick in a box guys or drag. I make a pretty girl.
- My picture from the hockey game got published on the Long Island Newsday website area for Islanders fans and games. Vote it as best, email me the picture, and maybe I’ll send you a prize.
Find it here. - I got lucky this morning. In the sense that I got selected to have the opportunity to buy tickets to the World Series games down the road in St. Pete. This afternoon, I got lucky again. So Thursday night myself and 3 others will be attending Game 2 of the World fucking Series. Watch it on Fox. I’ll be in the cheap seats ($100) 10 rows from the ceiling behind home plate. I’ve never been to a playoff baseball game and it doesn’t get much bigger than this in American sports. Go Rays!
- I would have tried to go to game 1, but I am playing hockey that night.
- I like Chianti, it’s soft and nice. Ruffino chianti. Try some.
- Obama was in Orlando tonight with Hillary. They estimated 50,000 people there. Would have liked to go but I had World Series tickets to try and buy. I’m guessing the folks that did go are still sitting in traffic 3 hours after his speeches started.
- At my daughter’s pre-school they choose one letter of the alphabet each week to focus on. This week is the letter “G.” After announcing the weeks letter they ask all the kids to give words that start with the letter. What does my daughter say? Guster of course! My girl’s favorite band right before Metallica. But Fa Fa is her favorite tune. Learn the words and sing along, it’s fun!
