Post Number 200

According to my WordPress console, this is blog post number 200 for me. Kind of neat I guess so I’m going to take a page from Avitable and Finn and complete the Vanity Fair questionnaire. Some of the questions anyway. Mostly though, because I couldn’t think of anything else that would be worth hitting a bicentennial milestone, of sorts.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
I would have to say there is no such thing, but there are some things that come close. Watching your child complete an achievement is a pretty amazing feeling of happiness. Also, when the Islanders, Mets, FSU, and UCF all win on the same day. BJ’s are pretty cool.

What is your greatest fear?
Outliving my children

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Lack of self-confidence and social shyness.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Body odor.

What is your greatest extravagance?
My car, although it was not an extravagant purchase in any way.

What is your current state of mind?
Stress, sadness, worry, pride, frustration, fear, sleepiness

What is the quality you most like in a man?
Soft hands

What is the quality you most like in a woman?
The ability to make me smile

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
“Girls, clean up. Now.”

When and where were you happiest?
The moments my children were born.

Who are your favorite writers?
Dean Koontz, Dr. Seuss, Rick Reilly, Britt, Tanis, Adam, Ali, Sandy, Shannon, Angie and many more who have the amazing ability to tell a story well…

Which talent would you most like to have?
The ability to play the piano or guitar as well as Ben Folds or Dave Matthews

If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
That we lived closer and were heirs to some estate like De Beers or Rockefeller or Steve Jobs

If you died and came back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
A dog or an iPod.

What do you dislike most about your appearance?
My appearance as a whole really.

Where would you like to live?
Long Island and Florida split during certain months. Really though, an NHL city of a team I could like.

What is your most treasured possession?
I will say my house. It could get pretty damn old sleeping in a box every night.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
The feeling of being alone.

What do you most value in your friends?
Sense of humor

What are your favorite names?
Anna and Claire.

What is it that you most dislike?
Ignorance and the refusal to learn.

What is your greatest regret?
Not taking advantage of opportunities to participate.

How would you like to die?
In my sleep.

What is your motto?
“Keep on dreaming, cause when you stop dreaming it’s time to die.”

Would you just shut the hell up already about your appearance.

Actually, keep it up because once you realize how good lookin’ you really are, you’ll leave me.

You are too kind :) You are have quite a way with words yourself.

I love reading people’s answers to these questionnaires. I often admire the musical talents of artists too. I would LOVE to be able to play the piano well.
