I feel that because I call myself Hockeyman, I should write a little comment about the game today. I’ll keep it brief because as an American, I feel sad from the result. However, I am quite proud of our team. None of the so called “experts” picked us to get to this game. Only a few even picked our team to play for any medal at all. However, we took the home team to overtime after erasing a 2-0 deficit with 24 seconds left in the game. Unfortunately, we came up a little short and got silver instead of gold. Funny thing about the Olympic tournament is we lost in overtime to the same team we beat just one week ago today. The hockeyman in me asks whens game 3? Series tied at 1-1 right? Oh well. Congrats to the Canadians, you will enjoy that medal way more than my country would have.
