This was one of those wonderful weekends you hate to see end. We spent the days at Disney. I know….again.
Our trusty crowd level gauge came through with numbers so wonderful we couldn’t not go. Saturday was a 2 and Sunday was a 1. Those scores are out of 10 mind you. Saturday we did the Hollywood Studios and it was slow slow slow. We lasted all the way until the afternoon monsoon washed us away and home for dinner. The Toy Story ride was closed for a little refurbishment, but the girls got over that when they met Buzz and Woody again. Besides, we’ll be back. We also tried our very best to sneak in our youngest into the Star Wars ride. SOOOOO close but the width of one college girl finger was the difference and she could not ride. It was sad for her and for us as well. She would have loved it I think. On Tuesday of next week, it closes it’s current version forever. It will be updated and re-built with newer footage and 3-D technology. She will be tall enough then, but she’ll miss out on the one we all know.

Sunday brought an un-scheduled visit to the Magic Kingdom. It wasn’t really planned but I had thought all week we would be going. So when the girls came up with the idea on their own over breakfast, I was all too eager to say yes! Mom decided to stay home and get some stuff done, so it was a win-win for all. An unscheduled Daddy Day to the Magic Kingdom is always a good idea. It was as empty as I’d ever seen it. The longest we waited for anything was the Buzz ride and that was a whopping 15 minutes. No fast passes needed on this day as we walked on to everything. We even had our OWN boat for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The sun was shining, the breeze was constantly flowing and the temperature ever passed 90 degrees. It. Was. Perfect.
Speaking of perfect, my 6 year old nearly was perfect on that Buzz ride. She somehow, and I swear it was all by herself as I was helping her sister play, scored a nearly perfect score of 999,999. In order to beat her score I will have to use Google to find all the secret high scoring spots she found all by herself. I was pretty impressed, but not all that surprised. She’s pretty good at video games.

Next weekend we will venture North to the gulf coast I love so very much. A weekend visit with the family and I am very much looking forward to playing around with my favorite niece! With a face like this though, how could I not be excited?

*** UPDATE ***
We have a winner! I will contact you directly shortly.

You don’t have to be a man to enter, but the prize is for a man. Unless you like to wash yourself with men’s products, you could give this as a gift to the man in your life. Today I’m going to talk to you about the new Dove Men+Care product line. I know I know, soap is not something men will typically talk about, but we do actually use it and we do have our preferences.
So what is Dove MEN+CARE?
Dove introduces, MEN+CARE, the brand’s first-ever product line created specifically for men. The new products are designed for men who have a reached a point in their lives where they are comfortable with themselves, but not in their skin. Many men put up with cleansing products that are harsh and drying, without realizing these products leave their skin feeling dry, irritated and uncomfortable. Men even blame their socks for their skin irritation when it is really the drying effect of regular cleansers!
Total Skin Comfort
Dove developed MEN+CARE so men can literally be comfortable in their skin. Built on the Dove brand’s heritage in cleansing, moisturizing and care, the new MEN+CARE products offer great cleansing combined with Dove moisturizers to provide total skin comfort. Dove MEN+CARE is dermatologist recommended and clinically proven to fight skin dryness without irritation or tightness.
I have been using the new product line for several months now and have noticed a new level of moisture in my skin. As someone who typically has dry skin, I don’t seem to have that problem while I use this stuff. This product really does work as advertised. My preferred scent is the Clean Comfort. It is mild and pleasant and does not have a perfume aroma. I’m not one to wash in strong scented soaps and this one fits that stipulation perfectly.
The good news for you is the folks at Dove are going to provide one of my readers a comfort pack from their Dove Men+Care line. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and I will randomly select a winner Sunday night.
The winner shall receive:
- 1 Extra Fresh body and face bar
- 1 Clean Comfort face and body wash

This is open to US residents only and will be shipped directly to the winner from the PR group partnered in the promotion. Good luck everyone!

Ahhh, it has returned. The routine. School is back in session and the daily routine has begun again.
Wake up, feed children, clothe children, make lunches, pack backpacks, write lunch notes, load up car with child, enter car line, dump child at brick building, enter traffic, be late to work. Work, eat lunch, work, work, enter traffic, return home, feed children, bathe children, place children in bed, veg, bedtime.
Repeat.
So with school back in session that must mean fall is fast upon us. Hmm. High in the 90′s this weekend. But football is on TV once again. Oh right, we don’t have fall here in our part of the world. We have summer and not-summer. It’s a real season if you live here. I’m not complaining though, I like not having Winter. Winter is very cold for a very long time. Winter is wet, everything always seems wet, or at least damp. I like the games of winter, but I’ll pass on the life of winter. As a child I lived with winter and enjoyed it. As an adult, I don’t think I’d have the same opinion. So I’ll enjoy all your pictures of winter, especially after I finish a round of golf in December and January.
My kids were all sorts of cute on the first day of school. I got a picture of them sure, but I saw another picture from 2 weeks ago I love much more. The photo credit belongs to the wife. Enjoy.
